So here’s an article that can help you with the process. Try this out, book your slot & get vaccinated. Here’s how

Step 1:

Head to the COWIN website & start with registration. Here’s a link to the website.

Head over & click on Register yourself option on the right corner of the screen.

Step 2:
Type in your mobile number & process toward verification. You will receive an OTP on your phone. Once you key in the OTP, hit ENTER & your verification is done!

Step 3:

Now that you’re registered on the platform, the next thing you need to do is upload your identity proof. The application provides you a series of options for your Photo ID from Aadhaar cards, Govt IDs, Drivers Licenses & so on.

Step 4:
Once you have that in, the next thing you need to do is fill in your personal details such as

• Your full name
• Your age
• Gender
• Birth date including year
• Address & So on…

Then hit REGISTER

Step 5:

To schedule your vaccine appointment, click on ‘Schedule’. You can find this button near your name.

Step 6:

Add family members or roommates. The CoWin App lets you add up to four additional members for each registration.

Step 7:

Look for a centre near you through city & pincode options. Click on the available slot & you’re good to go!

Step 8:
Click on ‘Book’ & your appointment gets confirmed. You should see a confirmation message on your screen. You will also receive an SMS with the details of your booking.

If you’re unable to register through COWIN, you can try it on Aarogya Setu instead.

Registering through Aarogya Setu

Step 1:

Head to the Aarogya Setu App on your mobile phone.

Step 2:

Find the ‘Co-WIN’ tab & click on it

Step 3:

Hit the “Vaccination Register” button & enter your mobile number to proceed to verification.

Step 4:

Get your OTP & have your number verified. Then click “Proceed to verify”. You are now registered for the vaccine

Step 5:

Now, it’s time for ID verification which you can do through your Photo ID from Aadhaar cards, Govt IDs, Drivers Licenses & so on.

Step 6:

Then enter in your personal details like age, gender, name, DOB, etc.

Step 7:

Just like the other app, you can add up to 4 additional members to your registration. You can then schedule the appointment based on availability.

Step 8:

Once your appointment is schedule, you will receive the confirmation & details via SMS

Tips & Tricks:

• Keep your photo IDs ready. You can choose from your Aadhaar, Voter ID, Passport, License, PAN card, Government ID, etc
• If you feel like you may not be able to attend the appointment of yoru vaccine, you can RESCHEDULE or CANCEL the appointment through the same app
• You can refer to websites like under45.in & getjab.in to find alerts on open slots.
• You can switch to an incognito tab while booking your slot. Sometimes, it may take up to 30 minutes for the website to clear its cache & show the new slots. So you can manually do it on your end.
